As an avid internet user, I understand the importance of staying updated with the latest information and updates on various web pages. However, manually checking each page for changes can be time-consuming and inconvenient. That's where the Visualping Chrome extension comes in.

With a total rating of 3.82 out of 5, Visualping is one of the top chrome extensions for monitoring web page changes effortlessly. This powerful tool offers a range of features that enhance your monitoring experience.

Effortless Monitoring with Visualping Chrome Extension

The Visualping Chrome extension simplifies the process of monitoring web pages. Once installed, all you need to do is visit the page you want to track and click on the Page Monitor icon. Select "Monitor This Page," and you're done! The extension will automatically notify you whenever the page changes, saving you the hassle of manually checking it every time.

Customizable Options for an Enhanced Experience

Visualping offers a variety of customizable options to suit your preferences. You can change the check interval globally or for each page, specify sound alerts, and even receive desktop notifications. Additionally, the extension allows you to visually select specific parts of a page to monitor, ignoring ads and code changes. This level of customization ensures that you receive relevant updates without any unnecessary distractions.

A Seamless User Experience

Despite some negative reviews, Visualping has proven to be a reliable and user-friendly extension. Users appreciate features such as the ability to monitor multiple pages, add new pages with just two clicks, and easily import and export their monitored page list. This seamless user experience makes monitoring web page changes a breeze.

However, it is important to note that the extension may not work effectively on dynamic web pages, as mentioned by some users. Furthermore, there have been a few reports of compatibility issues with certain versions of Chrome. Nevertheless, the Visualping team assures users that they are actively maintaining and improving the extension.

Customer Support You Can Count On

Visualping provides excellent customer support via email. If you have any issues or concerns, simply reach out to [email protected], and their dedicated team will respond within 24 hours. This level of support ensures that you can rely on Visualping for your web page monitoring needs.

How can I recover a list of the 250+ sites I was following?? I need to be able to import it into VisualPing. ASAP!

Shame this has died with the removal of WebSQL. I've been able to download & modify the extension to work with localStorage (only a few functions need changing in base.js) without much hassle if anyone from Visualping is interested? The only problem with be needing to move to Manifest v3 in the future. But as it stands, I have this extension fully working without using WebSQL. Previous Review: Still working well for me in 2023. The best thing is the ability to use CSS-style selectors to narrow the check down to specific area(s) of the page.. that makes it get 5 stars from me. Works great!

I switched from Distill Web Monitor to Page Monitor many years ago. Though I prefer Page Monitor but without better alternative for the time being, now I switched back to Distill Web Monitor. Thank you for provided the convenience for the past so many years. Good bye.

VisualPing Which you offer is Just Useless! Let me tell you why; VisualPing Only Checks 5 Links for free versions, Rest We must PAY, or you can simply click All check button yourself MANUALLY, and this kills all the meaning of extension. More Important, "Pick Element" Function is like joke. It does NOT work at all. Whatever I tried, Pick Element Function failed. Long story short, Page monitor was one of the best. If you close it, thank you for all. But Im not gonna pay any single cent for this fail visualping

Used this extension for years, even after VisualPing was released. Always preferred PageMonitor's accuracy and simplicity over VisualPing's unintuitive UI and focus on paid features. I especially dislike the lack of custom selectors which leads to a ton of false positives in VisualPing. "Pick Element" does not allow me to set/customize the element selector by ID, class or whatever to be more specific (and thus, more accurate pings), which is the main feature that made me prefer Page Monitor. With the Page Monitor extension effectively having shut down, it would've been nice if us users were informed about it beforehand so we could've backed up the jobs. Now it's all lost and we're stuck with an inferior alternative, so thanks a lot!

the application that you offer instead visualping is absolutely incomprehensible and unusable, and besides, it’s paid! it works completely differently, I’ve already been struggling with it for a week and I can’t customize it for myself

sounds like its just a way to push the paid version. visualping seems to work fine after sql update. been with this ext for years. sad to see. visualping is free up to 150 checks. i can go through that in a few hours

Version 4.0.1 not working. Should we wait for a solution or is it dead?

Finally the extension is working again, which makes me very happy. I'm giving a four star rating, as in the past, from time to time the database becomes corrupted and the extension creates a new empty one. Edit: It still is working, even after my browser (Coc Coc) updated. At first it wasn't working after the update, but I discovered that the database had been corrupted yet again, so had lost my list of sites to monitor. When I replaced the database with a backup, it was working fine again. It seems that Page Monitor does not handle large databases with hundreds of websites very well.

Sushubh

It barely works these days. Detects changes on pages that haven't been updated at all. Best to find something else.

As of Oct 31 2023 Chrome version 119.0.6045.106 (Official Build; 64bit). The list of sites are gone. Can not restore with back up. Can not add new sites. Dead in the water. Tested on older version of chrome and all is good but latest version does not let Page Monitor work. As of 10/4/23 they updated it and now works again

Tom Gray

Simply does not do as advertised - a page was updated, and i received an alert some 15mins later, despite setting it to check for updates once every minute. Don't bother with this, it just isnt fit for purpose.

Martin

I can't tell if it works because it somehow deleted my list of monitored pages. Three times in a row.

Conrad Braam (zaphodikus)

I triggers to indicate that a page has changed, but then it hangs, so not usable. abandoned back in 2018.

Alan Perotti

It does nothing :(

Libor R

Does not work at all. "Monitor this page" button does nothing.

SHARCRASH

Tried to monitor one website, the extension didn't work.

Joosep-Georg Järvemaa
